Some general information on goat care:

Debud - 1-2 weeks old  (a tetnus is given)

Band - as early as 1 day old - 3-4 wks old if using green band
if goat is older, a surgical band is recommended.  (tetnus is given)

Castrating goats is not recommended because they may herniate through their inguinal ring.

If you suspect worms, or coccidia - bring stool sample to our office and we can do a fecal test.
